I'm so glad I don't work on those things. I've seen what people have to do to inspect turbine engines, that's just not for me. I'd rather just work on diesel engines.

The idea and technology is relitively simple. But because the turbines have to rotate so fast and being exposed to almost anything, you have to inspect each blade for defects before it can pass an inspection. Diesel engines however, it's pretty simple to tune it, and rebuild it. And they don't guzzle fuel like a turbine engine does.

Not turbine engines specifically. I'm a mechanic on various types of equipment.
